Bring your own AI to your ARK projects

Connect the AI tool you already use, such as Claude Code or Cursor, and it can read ARK as you: the same projects and records your screens show you, under your permissions, read only.

What your AI can read

Exactly what you can open in ARK in that firm, and nothing more.

  • Who you are, your firm, and which of these it can read for you.
  • Your day: Pull Plan cards due today or overdue, your personal tasks, the RFIs, submittals, change directives and change orders waiting on you, and today's approval meetings.
  • The projects you can open, with their phases, milestones and team.
  • Pull Plan cards for one project, or yours across the firm.
  • RFIs, submittals, change orders and potential change orders on a project: number, title, status, who it is waiting on, due date and days open.
  • Invoice totals, and a project's fee budget by phase, only if your Finance access lets you open them in ARK.
  • Quick search across your projects and their records, sheets and specifications.
  • The ARK help guides.

What it never reads

  • E-mail addresses and phone numbers: people show by name and role only.
  • File contents, rates, cost and time entries.
  • Anything from another firm.

Read only, under your permissions

  • Your AI reads as you, under your own sign-in, role and project access. It sees nothing your ARK screens would not show you.
  • Read only: it cannot change a record, send a notice or an e-mail, or start a sync.
  • Each request is checked against a personal token, then answered on a short-lived sign-in that lasts five minutes.
  • Two-factor rules apply. If you use two-factor, or your firm requires it, a token can only be made from a verified two-factor sign-in.
  • AI access is off until a firm owner or administrator turns it on. Turning it off stops every token in the firm at once.

Your token, your control

  • You make your own token on My Profile, under "My Connections". It is shown once, and expires after 90 days, a year, or a date you choose up to two years away.
  • Revoke it at any time; an owner or administrator can revoke anyone's. A person who leaves the firm loses their tokens.
  • Each token is for one firm, with up to 2,000 calls a day.
  • People in your firm make tokens; clients, contractors and consultants cannot.

Which AI tools connect

  • Tools that take a server address and a token: Claude Code, Cursor, the MCP Inspector and scripts. My Profile shows the line to paste for each.
  • claude.ai and ChatGPT connectors need a sign-in step that comes in a later update.
  • Your AI tool, its subscription and the professional judgement stay with your firm. ARK's own built-in AI features are separate.
